I was introduced to the potters wheel 20 years ago entering the 7th grade, and instantly fell in love with clay. I felt like a child again playing in a puddle of mud, but this time I was really making something. Something functional, that someone could use every day.
I then studied Art History at the University of Massachusetts and worked in the clay studio making clay and glazes. I took as many pottery classes as I could. Since then I have worked for several Valley potters. Several years ago I built a studio at my home where I make functional, high fire porcelain pots. My inspiration comes from nature and modern design, which gives my pots an organic and simplistic feel.
